Dr. Avino is THE BEST!!!! My total hip replacement was more complex than an average replacement and he FAR exceeded my expectations for the outcome. I am on track to feel no pain and to walk better than I have in more than 30 years. I will be able to ride a bike for the first since I was 10. He is truly an incredible surgeon and a warm and caring doctor. I was very nervous about initiating the surgery process and had many emotions around it for various reasons. I had been to other surgeons and did not follow up because I was not comfortable that they truly cared for me as a patient. Dr. Avino changed all that. And everywhere I went - the nurses in the hospital, the home health nurses, the physical therapists - they all raved about how great he is and how he truly customizes his care to each patient. It’s all true!! And his assistant Heather is INCREDIBLE!!! She is warm, approachable, empathetic to the feelings of her patients and responsive to all questions - whether they are “dumb” or not. She is a ROCK STAR!! They are a dynamic team and I could not be more pleased with them or my results. I HIGHLY recommend them to anyone looking for the best care, especially for more complicated issues.
